Born in Perth, Australia, Lisa McCune was awarded the Coles contract at a pretty young age. Although she missed out on a few television series, she secured the role of Maggie Doyle in Blue Heelers, even though she originally auditioned for the role of Ros Patterson. At the beginning of Blue Heelers, the cast and crew of the newly formed show only believed that it would last for ten or so episodes. How wrong were they? Blue Heelers screened 499 episodes in twelve seasons. At the start of 2006, it will become Australia's longest running Police show over Homicide which made 509 episodes. Lisa stayed with Blue Heelers for six years, leaving behind her musical career. To avoid being stereotyped as a television cop, she also took part i nmany musicals throughout the breaks of Blue Heeler's filming schedule. She has been the recipient of three Gold Logies, Silver Logies, Most Popular New Talent Logie, Variety Club Awards and People's Choice Awards.
